A senior traditional ruler in Oyo state, The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdulganiyu Salawudeen, has joined his ancestors.
Oba Abdulganiyy Died on Sunday during a brief illness.
The monarch’s death is the fourth such occurrence among senior traditional rulers in Oyo State in eight months.
His departure is coming months after the Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, Soun of Ogbomoso; Oba Saliu Adetunji, Olubadan of Ibadan; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, joined their ancestors.
Oba Abdulganiyu who ascended the throne in 2007, was said to have died at the University College Hospital, where he has been for months.
Reports have it that traditionalists have begun passage rites around the ancient town.
