BON Southwest New Executives Hold Inaugural Meeting, Take Oath of Office In Ibadan

In Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, the new executives of the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria, BON, Zone C southwest have been installed.

The BON Zone C Chairman, Deacon Owolabi Oladejo, said the new administration would work to integrate all licensed broadcasting organizations in the southwest at the event, which was held in the boardroom of Metropolitan Broadcasting Service, home of Impact Business Radio “Amutajero” and Africa Impact Television, AITV, Akobo, Ibadan.

During his term, Deacon Oladejo insisted, professionalism will be firmly established.

The Zone’s new secretary and general manager of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan, general manager of Pensioners 106.7 FM, Ibadan, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, assistant secretary, and Alhaji Rasheed Folaranmi, director general, Osun State Broadcasting Service, OSBC, Osogbo, as public relations officers, PRO, were among those who received the oath of office from the new chairman

“As the Chairman of Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria,I swear that I will faithfully discharge to the best of my ability of the duty of my position”

“As the secretary, I will faithfully discharge my duty to the best of my ability”

“As the Public Relations Officers, I will faithfully discharge my duty to the best of my ability”

The new Executive for BON Zone C, Southwest, was then reeled in by the chairman, Deacon Oladejo.
In order to increase professionalism in the sector, “the vision and objective of the executives involves training and retraining of member stations staffs.”

The new leaders pledged to carry out their responsibilities honestly in order to uphold the objectives of the organizations from all over the state in the Southwest Zone. The BON Zone C, Southwest Executives also included Dr. Ambrose Somide of Radio Daar Communication in Lagos as Vice Chairman and Treasurer and Mrs. Amina Atairu of Rave Television in Lagos as members who were unable to attend the first meeting.
