Anthony Joshua Knocks Out Ngannou, Committed To Reclaim Heavyweight Titles
Anthony Joshua’s quest to reclaim his world heavyweight titles seems to be on course after defeating Cameroonian Francis Ngannou last night, Friday 8th March, 2024.
Joshua knocked out Ngannou with a devastating second-round finish at the Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Joshua had earlier floored Ngannou with a vicious right hand in the opening round before knocking down the former UFC heavyweight champion twice in the next, the second of which would leave Ngannou flat out for the count.
The knockout was arguably the most destructive of Joshua’s career as he continues his march towards becoming a three-time world champion.
The victory is expected to pave the way for Joshua to fight the winner of Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s clash for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
