Oyo Supplimentary Elections: INEC Declares Winner For Ibadan Northeast-Southest Fed. Const.
Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and incumbent lawmaker representing Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Federal Constituency, Mr Abass Adigun has been declared the winner of the Supplimentary Elections held on Saturday in Oyo state.
Mr Adigun polled a total number of twenty eight thousand, one Hundred and eleven votes (28,111) to defeat his closest rival, a one-time House of Reps member, Mr Dapo Lam Adesina of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled twenty seven Thousand three hundred and thirty eight votes (27,338).
Declaring the winner, Professor Benjamin Olley of the University of Ibadan, said Mr Abass Agboworin, having satisfied the requirements of the law was returned elected.
