A caretaker committee has been inaugurated to administer the affairs of the Osun state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
Performing the inauguration at the Civil Service Club in Osogbo, the immediate past state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress.MrJacob Adekomi urged the caretaker committee to work hard and ensure that peace returns to the umbrella labour union.
Mr Adekomi stressed that the inauguration of the caretaker committee became necessary as a result of failure of labour leaders in the state to come together and work out a hitch-free election.
In her acceptance speech, Chairperson, Caretaker Committee, Mrs Modupeola Oyedele promised to bring together all those involved in the imbroglio confronting the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state.
She called for the support of all and sundry in the quest to ensure peace is returned to the labour fold.
Other members of the committee are Olatoke Falade, Ishola Omotosho, Lekan Adediran,Olatunji Okunola, Kehinde Bamigbola and Adeyemi Aboderin, while Victor Amusan will serve as Secretary.
The caretaker committee will run the affairs of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state until an election is conducted.
