New set of executives have emerged in the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo state to run the affairs of the congress for the next three years.
Newsarena.ng gathered that the event which was held at the pensioners house, Onireke ,Ibadan witnessed past leaders of the Union gracing the occasion.
All the position were contested unopposed as the immediate past chairman, Mr Kayode Martins was re-elected as the chairman for another tenure.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Martins promised to improve on the welfare of the labour force in Oyo state.
In a goodwill message, the NLC National President, Mr Joe Ajaero urged the newly elect executives to priotise the welfare of members in the state.
The National President, who was represented by Comrade Ismail Bello, expressed that the Conference is to review the activities of the Union for the last four years to be able to activate plans of action for the next four years.
He commended the efforts of workers in the state especially during the challenges of economic recession and covid-19 pandemic, particularly the workers who were in the frontline.
