Oyo State Director of National Orientation Agency ( NOA), Mr Kayode Odedokun, has urged electorates to use their voting powers rightly and assured that the forthcoming elections shall be free and fair.
In his new year greetings he personally signed and made available to the press in Ibadan on Saturday, Mr Odedokun welcomed the people of Oyo State, Nigeria and the world at large to a bubbling New Year that will usher in a breakthrough and roundabout blessings.
He enjoined Nigerian voters not to forget their civic duties of voting according to their conscience in the elections during the first quarter of the year.
Mr Odedokun added that ” Elections in Nigeria is a Quadrennial, hence, all eligible voters must participate actively, shun voters apathy, under age voting, violence, vote buying,vote correctly at the polls and avoid other bane that could be detrimental to participatory democracy “
The Director maintained that ” The voters behaviour should be majorly influenced by the consideration of the future and the betterment of people and nation.
He urged would be electorates not to mortgage their voting power for money , other mundane material things nor engage in any anti social behaviours “
