JUST IN: Lady Narrowly Escapes Kidnapping In Ibadan, Narrates Ordeal

A young chartered accountant, Miss Temitope Adebayo narrowly escaped death by whiskers from kidnappers in the early hours of today Wednesday.

Miss Adebayo who was going to Bodija market after boarding a car painted in Oyo commercial colour with registration number, Ogun, AKM 461XA, at the state secretariat only to notice strange development from the occupant of the car.

Narrating her ordeals to Radio Nigeria, the victim Miss Adebayo said two men were sitting at the rear seat while she sat in the front seat.

She maintained that the driver changed direction at the secretariat roundabout and headed towards Mokola instead of Bodija.

Miss Adebayo who managed to speak with Radio Nigeria explained that she struggled with the driver who later loost control at the secretariat second gate and hit an oncoming okada rider in the process.

She stressed that though she was rough handled by the the occupants claiming she however remained resolute in dragging the car steering with driver.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity confirmed the development adding that the kidnappers ran into the Agodi forest along Dandaru road.

Our correspondent gathered that it took the intervention of men of the Nigerian police who rescued the car from being set ablazed by aggrieved mob, though the commercial car was badly damaged.
It was also learnt that the okada rider identified as Emmanuel had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
