After several years, popular concert, worship ways is returning to the ancient city of Ibadan.
Worship ways, a concert initiated by famous Gospel Artist, Gbenga Adenuga started in 1999 and had impacted thousands of lives over the years.
Unfortunately, the concert, which had won the hearts of many stopped in 2010.
But, the concert is billed to return to Ibadan on the 20th of November, this year at Jogor center.
According to Mr Adenuga, the concert would begin at four o’clock in the evening and end at half past seven in the evening.
He said he plans to take worship ways to every city he had lived in.
“we are coming back to worship ways now. I did the first one in Lagos last month and we are doing the next one in Ibadan and we are hoping it will be continuous and probably take it to Abuja also. The idea is to take worship ways to everywhere I’ve lived, especially in Nigeria”.
Mr Adenuga further explained the motives behind the rebirth of worship ways.
“One reason is that you just cannot ignore to do what you are supposed to do. It’s been a struggle over the years. I’m getting older and I said to myself, Gbenga you have to just do it so for me, it’s obedience. The purpose of worship ways is also to inspire people and build people up”.
“Over the years, people that come in contact with me, worship ways and my music are all doing well. Every time that I sing, God has promised me that there will be grace and the grace will come upon the people and they will be able to do the things that they’ve not been able to do ordinarily. That has been the story of worship ways”.
Mr Adenuga also recalled that in the space of four years, he organized 48 concerts and there has not been a thing like that since he stopped.
He added that the task could not be done alone, appealing to individuals who had benefitted from worship ways in one way or the other, to rally round him to sustain the concert.
“I need people to make this work and we all must do it together. If not, it’s going to start dying again. Since we stopped worship ways in 2010, nobody has started to do it again”
