The three remaining kidnapped victims at the Farmers’ Settlement in Iseyin-Ipapo, Oyo State have reportedly been released by their captors after Allegedly receiving ten million naira.
This of course has brought a sigh of relief to the families and the entire town.
According to The Chronicler Newspaper, the ransom was released to the kidnappers through their authorized network to prevent future casualties from the tragedy which happened when security men chased the kidnappers to free the captives.
According to the Chronicles Newspaper, the three victims released were seen at the settlement center upon their arrival before they were taken to the police station.
The Chairman of the Farm Settlement, Mr Rasheed Adepoju, in a telephone interview said their members were relieved that the victims are back home alive.
Recall that one of the farmhands was killed during a gun duel between the kidnappers and security men during the chase to free the captives.
