The Commissioner of Police for Osun State Command, Mr Ibrahim Zungura has reaffirmed commitment to maintaining a cordial relationship with traditional rulers and other community stakeholders.
Mr Zungura gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in Ile-Ife ,as part of efforts to strengthen peace, security and effective policing across the state.

He explained that the visit was aimed at seeking the blessing and support of the monarch while reinforcing the partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and traditional institutions in the state.

The State Commissioner of Police also solicited the cooperation of the Ooni and residents of Ile-Ife to collectively prevent crime and sustain peace.
Mr Zungura reiterated the Command’s resolve to adopt a collaborative approach to policing by working closely with traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders and members of the public.
In his remarks, The Ooni of ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi urged the new state Commissioner of Police to prioritise peace and security in the state.
The Monarch lauded him for making the palace one of his early stops after assuming office, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to working with traditional institutions.
