Isn’t it interesting how, in some political circles, every Tom, Dick and Harry suddenly thinks the easiest way to gain attention is to target Hon. Seyi Adisa? Attack his character, twist an innocent photograph, and manufacture an allegation.
But there is one problem: you cannot pull down a man whom God has chosen to uphold. The poster claims the photograph was from a Bimbo Adekanmbi Vanguard meeting and attempts to portray Hon. Adisa’s presence as anti-party activity. That narrative is simply misleading.
Hon. Adisa was an invited speaker at the Ibadan Creator Summit. He did not organise the event, determine who attended, or decide who sat beside him. He also worked with Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for eight years during the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
That relationship is no secret. Must every political relationship automatically become an allegation? Politics should not make us lose common sense.
I have addressed this to Picco and his leaders before now, this old trick of manufacturing controversy from harmless photographs is outdated. Be innovative; Afijio politics has moved beyond these tactics.
For those constantly manufacturing controversies around Seyi Adisa, perhaps the real question is: what exactly are you afraid of?
Hon. Adisa remains qualified, experienced, and committed to Afijio APC. If any Ajimobi Exco member meets Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, will they refuse to greet him? Of course not. We are not illiterates.
That is political maturity. So why should a photograph of Hon. Seyi Adisa at an independently organised event suddenly become anti-party?
You cannot manufacture anti-party activity from a photograph just to achieve your sinister goal of removing a sitting chairman. You cannot turn friendship into betrayal, and you cannot pull down a man simply because you have made him your favourite political target.
If you wrote it, own it. If you have facts, bring them. Otherwise, stop manufacturing political fiction. God remains the ultimate defender of His own.
