Honour Well Deserved – Ido LG Chairman Congratulates Makinde, Wife on Ibarapa Traditional Titles
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with prestigious traditional titles in Ibarapa land
Adeojo, in a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, described the honours as well-deserved recognition of the governor’s exemplary leadership, people-oriented governance and commitment to the peace and development of Oyo State and Yorubaland.
Governor Makinde was conferred with the traditional title of Aare Asoludero of Eruwa Land, while the First Lady was honoured as Yeye Aare Asoludero of Eruwa Land.
The Ido LG chairman, who conveyed the congratulations on behalf of the people of the local government, said the title Aare Asoludero, which he described as meaning “Generalissimo and bringer of peace,” aptly reflected Makinde’s role as a protector of the people and a champion of progress.
He said the recognition was an indication of the respect and goodwill the governor had continued to earn through his leadership and developmental initiatives across the state.
Adeojo also prayed for long life, good health and greater wisdom for the governor and his wife as they continued to serve the people and uphold the values associated with the traditional honours.
“Congratulations to the Aare Asoludero and Yeye Aare Asoludero of Eruwa Land. May your reign be long and peaceful. Ido LGA is proud of you,” he said.
