Osun State government has declared tomorrow Tuesday 28th July, work free day to enable civil servants in the state to go and collect their permanent voter card, PVC.
Affected categories of workers also include local government staff, tertiary institutions among others.
A statement signed by the spokesperson for the Osun State governor Mallam Olawale Rasheed indicates that the Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina conveyed the directive in a circular.
The circular explains that the directive was to enable public servants perform their civic obligation during the forthcoming Governorship and future elections in the State.
According to the circular, those on essential duties like medical workers and security personnel are to make necessary arrangements among themselves so as not to have negative consequences on the lives of the citizenry.
