Oriire: Ikoyi Land Vanguard For Dev’t Expresses Joy, Thanks Tinubu, Makinde For Citing Military Base In Ikoyi Ile
Ikoyi Land under Ikoyi Land Vanguard for Development has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the president, Bola Tinubu and the executive governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde and all security agencies, local vigilantes for their unrelenting efforts at ensuring successful rescue of the Oriire kidnapped children and teachers of Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, and Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinele, in Oriire Local Government Area.
The group also extended its appreciation to traditional rulers, the people of Oriire Local Government Area and Oyo State, as well as all well-meaning Nigerians for their prayers which resulted in the successful rescue of the teachers and pupils.
Ikoyi Land vanguard for development described the decisive leadership of the president and governor Makinde and the swift coordination of the security agencies that made the rescue possible have brought immense relief not only to the abductees and their families, but to the entire people of Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
While wishing the released teachers and pupils a speedy recovery, strength, and good health, the group prayed for the repose of late Mr. Oyedokun, who was gruesomely murdered by the captors, praying that God will console his family and grant his soul perfect rest.
The group also extended its appreciation to the President, the Chief of Army Staff, and the Executive Governor of Oyo State for citing a military base in Ikoyi-Ile, Oriire Local Government Area.
It noted that the military base will no doubt boost the confidence of the people and help forestall any future security breaches in and around Oriire LGA, given its proximity to the Old Oyo National Park.
