Shun Diversionary Protests: Let Peace And Unity Win Oyo For APC In 2027 || Elder David Oluokun
At this critical time, loyal members of the All Progressives Congress [APC] in Oyo State must be guided by wisdom and discipline.
We have become aware of plans by one or two dissatisfied individuals and their APM collaborators to stage protests within the party. While everyone has a right to their opinion, this is not the time for division, noise, or public confrontation.
Why We Must Shun These Protests
1. It is a Distraction from the Main Goal
Our target is clear: Chase Governor Seyi Makinde and his APM stooges out of Agodi Government House in 2027
Any protest now only helps our political opponents. It gives APM ammunition to say “APC is in crisis”. We must not hand them that victory.
2. A Credible Peace Process is Already On
The party leadership has inaugurated a Peace Reconciliation Committee headed by highly respected party leaders. This committee has the mandate to listen to all grievances, mediate, and restore unity across all tendencies.
Let us give peace a chance. Internal issues are best resolved on the round table, not on the streets or social media.
3. APM and few collaborators within Want APC Divided
Let us call it what it is. Some of those pushing for protest are the same elements working with APM to weaken APC from within. A divided house cannot defeat Seyi Makinde and his “Opebe” project.
Loyal party members must not be used as tools to destroy the house we all built.
4. 2027 Requires Discipline and Focus
Elections are won by organized parties, not angry mobs. From the wards to LGAs to State, we need every member focused on mobilization, voter registration, and grassroots work for Barr. Sharafadeen Alli [BSA], Hon. Adesoji Michael Adedeji, and all APC Candidates
The Way Forward
To every committed APC member:
Do not join any protest. Do not fund it. Do not share it.
Instead, channel your energy to the Reconciliation Committee. Bring your complaints there. That is the APC way.
The leadership is listening. The party is healing. The mission is 2027.
Let us remain focused. Let us remain united. Let us reclaim Oyo State.
The time for protest is over. The time for power is now.
