Ex-Iseyin Council Chair, Adeleke Canvasses Support For Tinubu, Sharafadeen Alli • Hosts Ileya Get-Together
Former Chairman of Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, Alhaji (Hon.) Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke, on Friday organised an Eid-el-Kabir get-together where he called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Oyo State, to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

The well-attended gathering, which brought together APC members, stakeholders, family members, political associates, friends and supporters, was held at Adeleke’s residence in the Barracks area of Iseyin as part of activities marking the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Speaking with newsmen during the event, Adeleke, who also holds the traditional titles of Okanlomo of Iseyinland and Bobajiro of Okeholand, said the essence of the gathering was to celebrate the festive season in unity and reflect on the true significance of Eid-el-Kabir.

According to him, the celebration provided an avenue to give back to the community especially the less privileged and to strengthen bonds of love, togetherness and mutual understanding among friends, associates and supporters, including those who could not attend physically.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to remain hopeful and supportive of the current administration, in order to make all plans and electioneering campaign promises feasible.
Adeleke also threw his weight behind Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, describing the Oyo South lawmaker as a tested and experienced administrator with commendable leadership qualities.
Adeleke recounted Alli’s Political journey and his relationship with him dated back to his days as the Chairman of Iseyin Local Government Area, while Alli previously acted as SSG before becoming the Chief of Staff to erstwhile Governor, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
He said, despite different political platforms and people’s conspiracy to upturn his mandate and that of his colleague, Hon. Isiaka Olalekan Salami( OBE) of the defunct Alliance for Democracy in Kajola LG, the duo of Oba Ladoja and Senator Alli maintained the ground to sustain political affinity.
The former council chairman therefore appealed to all members of APC in the state to prioritise unity, love and oneness as unavoidable factors to ensure the victory of Tinubu and Alli at the polls slated for 2027 general elections.
Among dignitaries present at the event were the Chief Financial Officer, CFO of FGN Power Company Limited, Hon. Kola Olabiyi FCA, member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, Hon. Dele Adeola; APC overall leader in Iseyin, Elder Aderoju Egbedokun; Renewed Hope Ambassador for Iwajowa LG, Hon. Jide Akinlotan; APC chieftain in Kajola Local Government, Hon. Olusola Ogunbode and Barr. Falade among others.
