Sallah, Children’s Day: Ido Council Chairman, Adeojo Felicitates Muslims, Solicits Prayers For Kidnapped Victims In Oriire
The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across his constituency and throughout Oyo State on the occasion of year 2026 Eld- el- Kabir celebrations.

In his message, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo congratulated families, community leaders, political leaders and Muslim faithful for reaching this season of joy and spiritual renewal.

He urged Muslim Umar to not only observe the sacrifices and festivities, but to embrace and apply the core teachings of Sallah; compassion, gratitude, self-discipline, charity, and communal solidarity in their daily lives.

He also pleaded to Muslims to use this festive period to pray for safe return of the abducted victims in Oriire as the day also marks children’s day.
Council boss encouraged community members to support one another, particularly vulnerable households, through acts of zakat and communal service, saying such actions strengthen social bonds and reflect the true spirit of the celebration.
He also called on religious and civic leaders to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and civic responsibility across the local government area.
Praying for continued blessings and prosperity, Hon. Adeojo said: “I pray that we witness many more Sallah celebrations in good health and peace on the land of the living.”
He wished everyone a safe, joyful, and spiritually rewarding Sallah.
