Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi state, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Congress (PDP).
Mohammed announced his decision to join the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) during a stakeholders’ meeting on Saturday.
Mohammed noted that the recent Supreme court judgement that voided the the national convention of the Kabiru Turaki-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had worsened the party’s issues.
“After careful consideration and wide consultations with leaders and stakeholders across the country, it has become clear that our efforts to restore stability have not yielded the desired results,” Bala said.
