Council Chair, Rector Celebrates OYSCATECH Workers, Union Leaders Describes Achievements as Collective Struggles

The Governing Council Chairman of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, Dr. Damilare Amusan has extended warm greetings to all members of Staff of OYSCATECH on the occasion of 2026 Worker’s day celebration.


According to him,” we recognize and celebrate your unwavering dedication, professionalism and excellence.
“Your contributions remain the foundation upon which our institution – OYSCATECH continues to grow and succeed.”

He assured that the Governing Council remains committed to fostering an environment that support Staff welfare, growth and productivity, while encouraging staff to take pride in their work.

Meanwhile, the Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi has congratulated the Staff, the three Labour Unions of the institution namely; Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and Nigerian Workers at large on the occasion of this year’s Workers Day celebration.

In a congratulatory letter signed by the Registrar, Mr. R.F.A. Adeniji, the Rector applauded OYSCATECH workforce for their devotion and confidence in the actualization of the institution’s vision of becoming a leading centre of excellence in agriculture, technology and management through the training of youths who would become innovative, self-employed and agents of food sufficiency.

Prof. Akinlabi also revealed that the unwavering support by Staff and other Stakeholders has led to the tremendous achievements recorded by his administration.

In his words, “our achievements have been through collective struggles.”

He commended the Union leaders for providing good leadership which has positioned them as key stakeholders and partners in progress at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinlabi used the occasion of this year’s Workers’ day celebration to call for more collaborations from the various stakeholders and the entire labour force of the institution, while pledging the Management’s commitment to the welfare of Staff of Institution.

The Rector used the occasion to commend the Executive Governor of Oyo State for the prompt payment of workers salaries and the advancement of education in the State.
