In recognition of his unwavering commitment to promoting sports and quality education for students of St. John Secondary School and other pre-tertiary institutions across Ido Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by St. John Secondary School, Omi-Onigbagbo in Ido Local Government.
Mr. Adelolu Kayode presented the award on behalf of the Principal, Mrs. Folashade Olajumoke Felix, at the Chairman’s office today. Mrs. Felix commended Hon. Adeojo’s proactive support for students’ sports activities and his readiness to address any educational needs. “We deeply appreciate the Chairman’s dedication to nurturing our students’ talents and well-being,” she stated.
In response, Hon. Adeojo dedicated the award to all pupils and students in Ido Local Government and Oyo State at large. He used the occasion to welcome them to the final term of the 2025/2026 academic session, praying for its success: “May God grant you all knowledge and understanding to excel in life. The Chairman further reaffirmed his pledge to relentlessly support the future leaders of the local government, ensuring continued assistance for their educational and extracurricular development.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by key government officials, including the Local Government Secretary, Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi; the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu; Mr. Bamigbade Samson, a teacher from St. John Secondary School; and other stakeholders.
