Twenty-Year-Old Cleaner Son Allegedly Rapes, Kills Victim At Bible Home In Ibadan

Tosin Kolade, 20, has been Arrested by the police in Oyo state on suspicion of killing Ifeoluwa, 17, and raping her in a bible home in Ibadan’s Olodo neighborhood.

Kolade was paraded with another 22 suspects for a variety of crimes.

Kolade admitted to the crime and claimed that he used a knife to steal the Bible’s key from his mother, a church cleaner, and then waited for the victim.

He added that he believed the dead recognized him and that when she arrived for bible study, he intimidated her with the knife, raped her, and subsequently strangled her to cover up the crime.

“I first of all collected her phone and she was dragging it with me, I pushed her to the floor and banged her head on the wall to weaken her. I later raped her and when she was shouting and calling my name, I break her neck, and used the knife to cut her neck because I wouldn’t want her to report me to the police ”

“It was my mother who saw me with blood that handed me over to the police”

Abolaji ABDULAZEEZ, a renowned suspect in abduction, was also paraded for the kidnapping of Mrs. Patience Okafor, who was driving her kids to school in a Toyota Rav-4 Jeep at the Orita challenge in Ibadan.

The suspect claimed that after whisking her off to an unidentified location, he then called her family to demand ransom.

“I am a kidnapper, and I was influenced by my friends’ extravagant lifestyles to commit the crime.”

The suspected kidnapper, therefore, called on others who are criminally minded to shun the act as he now knew that crime was not good.

Other parading individuals who had been detained on suspicion of crimes ranging from murder to rape to armed robbery confessed to their crimes and begged for forgiveness.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adebowale Williams, paraphrased the suspects and stated that the command would continue to make sure that stricter and more preventive actions were deployed in the deliberate effort to combat and bring all forms of crime and related vices across every nook and cranny of the State to the absolute minimum.

The state’s police public relations officer, Mr. Adewale Osifeso, who represented the commissioner, said the command had started a crime-free policy through a well-planned, intelligence-driven operation that was targeted at the homes of the criminally inclined.

Mr Osifeso said as the country approached the electioneering and the Ember period, the Command had synergised with sister agencies and non-state actors, as well as utilizing technological based options to marshal intelligence into veritable achievements.

” In furtherance of the above, the Command’s security architecture would be constantly redesigned to comprehensively cater to the security yearning of the citizens of the State, especially in response to the evolving trends of crime as influenced by per second advancement in technology and criminogenic patterns.”

” To this end, the Oyo State Police Command shall continuously embark on intensified visibility policing strategies, high octane convoy patrols and purposeful intelligence sharing in concert with relevant sister agencies, and constructive media engagements.”

The police spokesperson stated further that the Command’s focus would beamed at correctional facilities, banks, media houses, schools, public infrastructures, major landmarks, business districts, places of worship and recreational facilities for effective policing.

” In the same vein, conscious efforts are made to intensify the demystification of cases under investigation with specific emphasis on; the rights of those involved, precision of facts, availability of overwhelming evidence(s) and stance of appropriate laws with the helpful guidance of the Judiciary
