Providence Coalition Honors Two Distinguished Leaders On Milestone Birthdays

It was a day of heartfelt celebration and reflection as the Providence Coalition gathered to honor two of its most esteemed leaders, Engineer Adewale Adeoye and Alhaji (Chief) Adebayo Aruna, who marked their 60th and 70th birthdays respectively.


The double celebration, held at the Aviation Hall SDM, Tarvern Hotel Total Garden Ibadan, was attended by friends, family, community leaders, and stakeholders from across the country. It served not only as a tribute to longevity, but also to leadership, service, and legacy.

Engineer Adewale Adeoye, who turned 60, was praised for his decades-long commitment to infrastructure development, innovation, and youth empowerment within the Coalition and beyond.

Known for his strategic thinking and humility, Engr. Adeoye has played a pivotal role in numerous community upliftment projects and has mentored a new generation of engineers and civic leaders.

In his remarks, he expressed gratitude for the support he has received over the years, stating, “Turning 60 is not just a number — it’s a moment to reflect, to be thankful, and to prepare for the next phase of service. I remain committed to building stronger systems and stronger communities.”

Alhaji (Chief) Adebayo Aruna, who celebrated his 70th birthday, was similarly honored for a lifetime of dedicated leadership, cultural preservation, and philanthropy.

As a revered elder and founding member of the Coalition, Chief Aruna has been instrumental in guiding policy, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that the Coalition remains a strong voice for justice and development.

Speaking at the event, he said, “At 70, I have seen much, learned more, and I am still learning. I am grateful for the journey so far, and I pray that the wisdom of age continues to be a light for the younger generation.”

The celebration featured tributes, music, and a commemorative presentation to both honorees with gift. Members of the Providence Coalition described the event as a powerful reminder of the impact of purposeful living and visionary leadership.
