The Oyo State Police Command has debunked reports circulating on social media about an alleged attack on a farmer by herders in Ilowa-Gbade Village, Atiba Local Government Area.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the dispute was as a result of grazing rights which led to an altercation between a 20-year-old herder, Salau Isiaka, and a 25-year-old farmer, Akinkunmi Tiamiyu.

The confrontation escalated into a physical fight, resulting in severe injuries to both individuals.
According to the statement, the duo are currently receiving medical attention at a healthcare facility.
The command urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information that could incite fear and disturb public peace.
The statement added that suspicious activities should be reported to nearest police station.
