Two University Student-Lovers Found Dead In Private Hostel

Tobiloba Daniel and Arewa Abayomi, two 200-level students at the Kwara State University in Malete, Kwara State, were discovered dead in their dorm in a hostel away from the campus.

Daniel and Abayomi, according to Punch Metro, decided to go to the hostel to continue studying for their examinations the following day while they were still in the institution.

However, things changed when their colleagues saw that the two skipped their examinations the following day and disappeared from campus for three days.

Bothered by the development, the colleagues, after searching for them on the school premises to no avail, reportedly went to their room in the hostel to check on them.

The lovers were reportedly found lying naked and lifeless on the bed when the friends entered the room.

According to what was gathered the school administration was alerted of the situation right away, and the police department dispatched officers to transport the bodies to the morgue.

A student, who spoke in confidence, said the lovers were not seen on campus for three days, adding that after their corpses were discovered in the hostel, students started suspecting that they were poisoned.

A picture in possession of journalists showed Daniel and Abayomi lying lifeless on the bed.

They were both naked but while a duvet covered Daniel, Ayobami was half naked.

Reacting to the development, the Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, who confirmed the incident, said that the university security was yet to give official details on the sad development.
