Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu and the Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, Engineer Francis Agoh, have held a meeting with the Management of the UCH with a view to finding lasting solutions to the lingering crisis of Power Outage at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.
According to report, it was resolved after the meeting that electricity supply would be restored to the Institution within the next 48 hours.

The Minister who arrived at the University College Hospital at few minutes to 11 O’clock in the morning was received by the Management led by the Chief Medical Director, CMD, Professor Jessie Otegbayo.
Chief Adelabu said, the Federal Government was not comfortable with the situation of power outage in the health facility, hence, the need for its intervention.
He maintained that, there was the need for separation of energy among the UCH, College of Medicine and Commercial entities within the College Hospital, saying such a step will let each of them to take responsibility for its energy consumption.
Chief Adelabu warned anybody engaging in energy theft and fraud to desist as the government would not condone such act of economic sabotage.
The Minister added that, University of Ibadan and UCH had been captured for Energy Education Programme, EEP, in the second phase of the Programme which would be added advantage to the Institutions to have energy costs reduction.
On his part, the Managing Director of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, Engineer Francis Agoh assured the public that, with the intervention of the Minister, electricity would be restored and separation would be carried out as agreed.
