The Shooting Stars Football of Ibadan has began its preparations for the incoming season on a smooth note on Wednesday morning, with the newly unveilled Technical Adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, taking charge.
It was gathered that some invited players have joined the retained players on ground for the pre season activities.
“Oracle” as coach Ogunbote is popuularly called, took time off to officially welcome the players and other officials to the first training session held at the training Pitch A of the Dipo Dina Stadoum, Ijebu-Ode.
Addressing the players, the former Remo Stars sweat merchant, welcome them, particularly the new ones into the fold of the Oluyole Warriors, and urged them to get ready for the task ahead.
While urging them to justify their presence in the team, the ex Sharks of Port Harcourt, Rangers International, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars Chief tacrician, challenged them to exhibit high level professionalism on and off rhe field, reminding them of the huge expectations from the government and the good people of Oyo State, the club’s management as well as the teeming fans and supporters of the club across the globe.
Thereafter, the players settled down for the business of the day as the they were taken through series of sections by coach Ogunbote, and his assistants, coaches Abimbola Lawal, Abayomi Adigun as well as the goalkeeper’s coaches duo of Kola Ige and John Dosu.
Meanwhile, all things been equal, 3SC is expected to make a trip down to Ikenne, to participate in the VALUEJET CUP 2022, a preseason tourney slated to hold at the Remo Stars Stadium between August 24th and September 3rd.
