The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inducted Mr Oladejo Samson Adeolu and other qualified practitioners into its esteemed professional body. The induction, held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the National Press Centre, Radio House, Garki, Abuja, was a hybrid event attended by both physical and virtual participants.

The NIPR, established in 1963 and chartered by Decree 16 of June 1990, continues to regulate the practice of public relations in the country, ensuring members meet stringent knowledge and skill requirements.
As a highly accomplished individual, Mr Oladejo has a robust academic background, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication at Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan. His educational achievements highlight his dedication to excellence and lifelong learning.
During the induction, the NIPR Registrar, Uzoma Onyegbadue, congratulated the inductees, urging them to uphold the principles of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility in their practice. The ceremony included a procession at 3.50 pm and the main event at 4 pm, where Mr Oladejo and his peers were formally welcomed into the prestigious body.
Mr Oladejo’s journey in public relations and mass communication spans years of impactful service. His work as a Part-Time Lecturer at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, and Hallmark University, Ogun State, reflects his commitment to mentoring the next generation of professionals. He has also served as a Technologist, Reporter, and Marketer, showcasing his versatility and passion for media and communication.
Acknowledging the support of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, where he is a permanent staff member, Mr Oladejo expressed gratitude to the Rector, Dr Abdul Hammed Taofeek, for his encouragement. He credited the institution for providing an enabling environment that fosters professional growth and excellence.
In his current role at Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Mr Oladejo has contributed significantly to the institution’s development. His responsibilities include serving as Secretary and Member of the Ad-hoc Committee on the School’s Anthem and promoting the Polytechnic’s image through online publications and media campaigns.
As a recognised resource person, Mr Oladejo has played pivotal roles in accreditation exercises for mass communication departments across various institutions, including Hallmark University, Precious Cornerstone University, and Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic. His expertise in studio technology and media strategies has earned him respect in the academic community.
In addition to his professional engagements, Mr Oladejo has presented scholarly papers at numerous conferences. His research on the influence of social media on employee engagement and the outcomes of government-sponsored digital literacy initiatives underscores his academic prowess and commitment to addressing contemporary challenges.
