Olubadan Installs New Magajis, Baales, Cautions Against Negative Conduct
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin 1, Oba Olakulehin has installed nine Mogajis and five (5) Baales in Ibadanland.
At the event which took place at the Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo Ibadan on Monday, Oba Olakulehin warned the newly installed Mogajis and Baales against involving themselves in negative conduct that can tarnish their image.
Those who were installed as Mogajis include; Alhaji Mohammed Adekunle Sawere as Mogaji Ojo Sawere family, Oopo Yeosa, Barrister Isiaka Abiola Olagunju as Mogaji Opere compound, Born photo, Isale Osi, Alhaji Dawodu Wasiu Adio as Mogaji Olukosi family, Isale Osi, Alfa Ganiyu Akeredolu as Mogaji Orowusi family, Kobomoje area, Atere Wasiu Oriyomi as Mogaji Atere family, Inalende area, Mr. Lukman Azeez Adedolapo as Mogaji Ojeran Oloya family, Oopo Yeosa area, Mr. Oladejo Bamidele Tunde as Mogaji Ojo Igbomina family, Oja Igbo area, Alhaji Kabiru Abimbola Aniran as Mogaji Aniran – Lewe family, Oke Eleta area and Alhaji Oseni Abass Adebisi Fagbohun, as Mogaji Onigba family, Orita-Merin.
Those who were installed as Baales are; Mr. Olatunji Gbadegesin Musibau (JP) installed as Baale of Ajala village in Oluyole local government area, Abideen Akinade Alapinti as Baale of Olajumoke Alapinti village in Ido local government area, while Mr. Hammed Lawal was installed as Baale of Egan Aarin village in Ido local government area, Mr. Rafiu Olaniyi Daramola as Baale of Odunewu land in Akinyele local government area and Chief Adeyemo Rahaman Ishola as Baale of Seriki village in Akinyele local government area.
Oba Olakulehin who spoke through the Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi enjoined the newly installed Mogajis and Baales not to act as lords and masters over their families and subjects.
“You have been installed today to be the representatives of the Olubadan in your various domains, therefore, you are expected to do away with any behavior contrary to the traditional and cultural values of Ibadanland, knowing fully that the Olubadan is the owner of the traditional titles you are holding which can be withdrawn in case of any misdemeanour.
“I hereby congratulate you and your families on your emergence as traditional title holders in Ibadanland. I pray that together we will take Ibadanland to a greater levels of development
At the installation ceremony were Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Eddy Oyewole-Foko, Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Kolawole Adegbola, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Olubunmi Dada-Isioye, Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Dauda Abiodun Azeez and Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin.
Other dignitaries at the event were Mogajis, Baales, religious leaders, traders, artisans, traditional office holders and well-wishers.
