One of the wives of Chief Rashidi Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland and the former governor of Oyo State, Tinuade Ladoja has passed away.
After a brief illness, she died on Monday morning at the age of 71.
Adeola Oloko, media assistant to the former governor confirmed her passing over the phone to journalists in the state capital, Ibadan.
Oloko said, “Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul.”
Tinuade until her death, was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, the parish she attended, also confirmed her death in a post on its Facebook page.
In the Facebook post, the church wrote, “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
