JUST IN: DSS Releases NLC President As More Details Emerge
Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has been released by the department of state service, DSS on Monday night.
Recall that the labour leader was on his way to the United Kingdom on Monday for a Trade Union Congress (TUC) event when he was arrested at Abuja airport
According to Ajaero, while confirming his release explained that the DSS releases him at about past 11 O’Clock on Monday evening.
The leader of the Nigeria Labour Congress claimed that after being picked up at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja at around 7 a.m., he had been interrogated for roughly 15 hours.
However, Ajaero claimed that the secret police had seized his travel passport.
He also claimed that despite being taken into custody by the DSS, a few police officers also questioned him about the August #EndBadGovernance rallies at the DSS office in Abuja.
According to Ajaero, he was also questioned about suspected financing of terrorism in connection with Andrew Wynne, a British national.
