Oyo Speaker, Ogundoyin Mourns Death of Ex-Oyo SSG, Says “His Counsel Was Sought By Many”

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has expressed profound sadness over the passing of the former Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), Chief Michael Koleoso.

In a statement released by his office, Ogundoyin described Chief Koleoso as a great elder statesman, whose contributions to the development of Oyo State are immeasurable.

“We have lost a great elder statesman, whose wisdom, experience, and dedication to service have left an indelible mark on our dear state,” Ogundoyin said. “Chief Koleoso was a true patriot, who served Oyo State with unwavering commitment and loyalty.”

The Speaker recalled Chief Koleoso’s distinguished career in public service, particularly his tenure as SSG, during which he played a crucial role in shaping the state’s policies and programs.

“Chief Koleoso was a guiding light, whose counsel was sought by many, and his guidance was invaluable to our administration,” Ogundoyin added. “His passing is a tremendous loss, not only to his family but to the entire state.”

Ogundoyin, on behalf of the Oyo State House of Assembly, extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the government, and people of Oyo State, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.

“May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us to serve our state with dedication and integrity,” Ogundoyin concluded.

“His death has left a void in the State’s political circle, as he was revered for his selfless service, wisdom and contributions to the development of Oyo State.”
