JUST IN: Dapo Abiodun Emerges Southern Governors’ Forum Chairman
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has been elected the new chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
Prince Abiodun emerged the new chairman at a meeting of the southern governors held at the presidential lodge, Ibara housing, Abeokuta, Ogun State
Meanwhile, Anambra State governor, Professor Charles Soludo also emerged as the Vice Chairman of the forum.
Our correspondent reports that 16 governors were in attendance, except the governor of Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara.
Governor Abiodun while briefing newsmen after the meeting, said It was an honour to have been nominated to lead the Southern Governors’ Forum, along with Professor Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, as the Vice Chairman of this forum.
The Southern Governors Forum serves as the collective body for the 17 governors from the South-West, South-South, and South-East geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
