The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has picked a member of the house of representatives, representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Mr Festus Akingbaso as its deputy governorship candidate in the Ondo governorship election coming in November, this year.
Akingbaso, a former House of Assembly member in the State was named as running mate to the governorship candidate, Mr Agboola Ajayi on Sunday, 9th June, 2024.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Ikantu Peretei confirmed the development to newsmen in Akure.
Mr Peretei said the deputy-governorship candidate would be publicly and officially unveiled soon.
Mr Agboola and Mr Akingbaso are expected to contest along with Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyetidawa during the governorship election slated for November 16 this year.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate hails from Idanre, Idanre council area from the central senatorial district of the state.
