Gunmen have attack a passengers’ bus, kidnapping unspecified number of travellers on Ikare- Irun Akoko -Ado Ekiti highway
Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson, Ondo State command of the Nigeria Police, Mrs Funmi Odulami said police is on top of the situation, but could not confirm the number of kidnapped victims as at the time of filing in this report.
It was gathered that the incident occured at Oyinmo farm camp, along Irun Akoko/ Imesi Ekiti axis of the road.
The incident was said to have occurred on Saturday evening, 25th May, 2024.
It was learnt that the victims were from Irun akoko, Ikare akoko and Ekiti communities.
A source at Irun Akoko told newsmen that Police men, Soldiers and Amotekun officers from Ekiti and Ondo states with the cooperation of Local Vigilantes are currently combing the forests to rescue the victims.
