Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene: Reps’ Member, Agboworin Congratulates De-Damak Over CCII’s Conferment Of Honour
Member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as (Agboworin), on Sunday, congratulated Alhaji (Chief) Dr. Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), Aare of Ibadanland, Edo and Delta States, on his decoration.
Agboworin, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, stated that the decoration of De-Damak as the Grand Commander of Ibadan Culture (GCIC) and Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene (MPII) by the President General and the Executive Council of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) is a testament to his commitment and unwavering dedication to the advancement of Ibadanland.
According to a congratulatory message signed by his Head of Media Unit, Mayowa Okekale, Agboworin applauds De-Damak’s patriotism and commitment to the cultural values of Ibadanland, saying the titles are well-deserved.
The lawmaker also noted that De-Damak, apart from being a promoter and frontliner in the cultural development of Ibadanland, he is widely known for selfless service and philanthrophy over the years.
The statement read, “Today, I congratulate you Sir, Alhaji (Chief) Dr. Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), who is also Aare of Ibadanland, Edo and Delta States, on this well-deserved honor as Grand Commander of Ibadan Culture (GCIC) and Most Patriotic Ibadan Indigene (MPII). These are honourary titles that are undoubtedly well-deserved.
“I believe your contributions to the Ibadan culture, values and commitment to the development of Ibadanland have been adjudged to be impressive by the CCII, the umbrella body, face, and voice of Ibadan Indigenes worldwide, hence the honour done on you, Sir.
“Apart from your outstanding contribution to the development of Ibadanland, your continued support for humanity, which has been widely commendable, gave you the leverage for the recognition.
“I congratulate you and wish you well, Sir even as you continue to remain a cultural icon, philanthropist, who would continue to be instrumental in promoting the values and cultural heritage of Ibadanland.”
