Olubadan: Oba Lekan Balogun Was Ever-welcoming – Kolapo Kola-Daisi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state and an illustrious son of Ibadan land, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, KKD has commiserated with the immediate family, Olubadan in council and Indigenes of Ibadan over the demise of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator Lekan Balogun.

Kolapo Kola-Daisi who is the Bobajiroro of Ido Land in a statement said Kabiesi was ever-welcoming, an attribute he said Ibadan Indigenes will miss about him the most.

“With a deep sense of sadness, I join sons and daughters of Ibadan to mourn the passing of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Senator Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Ali-Iwo (Alli Okunmade II), our Olubadan of Ibadan.

“Kabiesi was ever-welcoming, an attribute I will miss about him the most. He championed the ethos of omoluabi and embraced all who crossed his path, including myself, and this was not because of his duty as the King, but rather because of his admirable persona of warmth and kindness. I was fortunate to have experienced his fatherly guidance and unwavering support during my senatorial campaign, where his sage advice always proved timely.

“His lifelong dedication to the greater cause of Ibadan, manifested through tireless service and visionary leadership, has left an indelible mark on our beloved city.

“I condole with Kabiesi’s immediate family, the Olubadan-in-Council, the Oyo State Traditional Council, and the people of Ibadanland. We have truly lost a towering figure and father, whose legacy of compassion, unity, and selflessness will stay with us for a lifetime.
