Super Falcons of Nigeria last night (Friday) suffered defeat in the hands of the Shepolopolo of Zambia in the third place match of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON in Morocco.
The Super Falcons went behind in the game in the 29th minute through an own goal by Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Despite creating many chances, they could not find the back of the net as the Shepolopolo won the game by a lone goal to finish third in the tournament.
Meanwhile, there will be a new winner of the WAFCON tournament this year as Host Nation Morocco and the Bayana Bayana of South Africa will be looking to win their first title.
Both teams will slug it out with each other in the final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium at nine o’clock tonight (Saturday).
