Gov. Adeleke Imposes Curfew On Two Osun Communities

In order to ensure law and order, Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has imposed curfew on Ilobu community in Irepodun local government and Ifon community in Orolu local government, over a communal clash between the two communities.

The notice of curfew is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi.

According to the statement, the curfew is between 8pm and 6am which restrict Human and vehicular movement during the curfew till further notice.

This is to forestall attempts of destruction of lives and properties over the land dispute.

The statement warns that Alanyone caught wandering or moving around in Irepodun and Orolu local governments during the curfew period will be arrested and prosecuted appropriately.

The Governor, therefore, sued for peace between the people of the two local governments, and asked that the ethos of Peace, Love and Unity which the state is known for, be imbibed.
