The Zamfara State House of Assembly has been shut down by members over outstanding payments of their entitlements from the Governor.
When new visited the Assembly complex, the main entrance to the chamber and other offices attached to the assembly were locked, while security personnel seen seated by the gate.
Some of the Assembly staff who spoke under anonymity revealed that 24 members of the House were requesting the payment of their allowances.
The House has since adjourned plenary for a two-week recess.
