The Frontiers, a social group in Ibadan has on Saturday lauded the CCII, central council of Ibadan indigene for its noble efforts in honouring the Board chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Adeolu Akande in Ibadan.
According to a release signed by its secretary, Oluwatobi Adisa and made available to the press, ” the move really portends the open door policy of CCII as it acts like night rain which leaves no roof untouched”.
Mr Adisa who described the honor as befitting and timely, says, professor Adeolu has really proven to Ibadan land to be an all weather friend and one of “our adoptive sons through his philosophy and Foundation that is continuing to wipe the sunken faces of many Ibadan indigenes.”
Spotting a resplendent dark brown Agbada attire with a cap to match, professor Adeolu has seen the award as a big challenge for him to redouble his efforts without any fear or favor.
The Oke Ogun born lawyer reiterated that Ibadan has always been his second home and he will continue to uplift the ancient city and beam his searchlight on its people and Oyo state at large.
Pouring encomiums on CCII and its new excos for looking in the right direction, Mr Adisa on behalf of the Frontiers says, “nothing more can be a reward of excellence other than the recognition by the people who noticed and felt it”.
