Ekiti state governor elect, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, his Deputy Governor-Elect, Chief Monisade Afuye have received certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Legislator-elect for Ekiti East Constituency one of the state House of Assembly, Mr Abraham Fatoba also received his certificate of return.
Mr Oyebanji, in company of his wife, Dr Oluyemi, thanked the people of Ekiti for giving him the mandate.
He however promised that his six points agenda, Job creation for youth, Human Capital Development, infrastructure and industrialization, Agriculture and Rural Development, Art, Culture and Tourism as well as Good Governance would be prioritize in his administration.
Earlier, INEC Commissioner in charge of Lagos, Ekiti and Oyo States Mr Sam Olumekun said the commission would continue to improve on the electoral process to strengthen the nation’s democracy.
In his remarks, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Adeniran Tella while congratulating the Governor Elect on his victory, also appreciated the people of Ekiti State for their cooperation which led to the success of the exercise
