It has been an historical ten day event in different sporting activities with winners and losers.
The Honourable Minister of Sports and youth Development, Mr Sunday Dare, gave the assertion at the closing ceremony of the 2022 National Sports Festival, hosted in Delta state.
Mr Dare appreciated all states contingents that participated in the competitions.
The minister congratulated Team Delta for the historic defence of the title they won in Edo 2021.
He urged other states to keep catching up if possible and dethrone Team Delta in the next festival to be held in Ogun state in 2024.
“The runners up to be on standby is Oyo state incase the main host will not be ready in the next one year.”
He wished all contingents safe trip back home.
