HOSEC Foundation Ends 19 Days Activism On Violence Against Children With Awareness Walk

A child Rights non governmental organization, Hope For Second Chance foundation, HOSEC, has embarked on a road walk to climax the 2022 19-Days Activism on violence against children

The activism was to intensify advocacy on different forms of attack against the children in Oyo state

The walk which kicked off at Sango Saki Motor Park, Ibadan, through Mokola Roundabout and Secretariate road, terminated at Bodija metropolis, Ibadan

Executive Director, Hope For Second Chance foundation, HOSEC, Mrs Ibunkunoluwa Otesile who spoke to journalists on the essence of the walk said it was important that more members of the public were reached to be informed of the effect of the abuse on children.

She highlighted some of the violence against children to include child labor, trafficking, child sex tourism and parental neglect noting that the effects on the future of the children, who are the guarantee of the future of any society are grievous.

Otesile said there must be synergy among stakeholders to end the violence against children such as the female genital mutilation, sexual abuse and exploitation.

The HOSEC Director explained that the foundation had used the first nineteen days in the month of November to advocate and sensitize the public on different forms of abuse done on children in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
