One Dead, Four Vehicles Recovered From Lagos Ibadan Kidnapping Scene – Oyo Police Gives Details
Oyo state police command has reacted to the abduction of some travellers on the Dominion University end of Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Friday.
In a statement by the state police public relations officer, Adewale Osifeso, the said occurrence happened On Friday 28/10/2022 at about 1835HRS, while the Operatives of the Command attached to Toll-Gate Division received information about sporadic gunshots heard along the Dominion University end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to Osifeso, an officer assigned to the Command paid the ultimate price while another was severely hurt and is currently responding to treatment during the process of prevailing and averting additional pandemonium from what was definitely an abduction scenario.
He said that four abandoned vehicles and spent gunfire shells had so far been found on the scene.
He said that the Deputy Commissioner in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department is leading the Charge in Full-Scale Scientific and Technological Aided Investigations to elucidate the circumstances that gave rise to the incident, which was ordered by Police Commissioner CP Adebowale Williams.
