Tobi Amusan of Nigeria has won the women’s 100-meter hurdles event at the Diamond League in Zurich on Thursday, shattering the competition record by 22 years.
She ran 12.29 seconds to retain her Diamond League championship. After finishing in 12.40 seconds, Tia Jones from the US was behind her, and Britany Anderson from Jamaica took third place.
In 12.42 seconds, the Nigerian took home the Diamond League trophy the previous year. She also achieved a record in Africa.
