LEGISLATURE: Nnamdi Okafor, the majority leader of the House of Assembly in Anambra State, has passed away.
Before his passing, Okafor, also known as Akajiugo Awka, served as the state Assembly’s representative for the Awka South Constituency 1.
There are still many unknowns surrounding his passing, but unconfirmed reports claim that the lawmaker died after collapsing early on Wednesday in a hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa. His death was later confirmed.
It was reported that the deceased legislator went on a legislative retreat with other state lawmakers.
