Gov. Makinde Approves Rehabilitation Of Collapsed Portion Of Ipin River

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Monday 21st October, 2024 approved the rehabilitation of collapsed portion of Ipin river in Ibarapa East Local Government area of the State.

Recall that a portion of the Ipin river collapsed as a result of heavy rainfall on Friday 12 October, 2024 through Saturday morning.

The governor was accompanied by the leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ibarapa land, High Chief Adewale Atanda and other important dignitaries.

Governor Makinde who arrived the collapsed portion of Ipin river around 3 O’Clock in the afternoon on Monday, said necessary actions will commence on the river

Reacting, the executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade expressed his profound gratitude to governor Seyi Makinde for giving quick approval for the rehabilitation of the damaged portion of the river.

The Ibarapa East council boss described governor Makinde as a gem of inestimable value who have the love of Oyo people at heart including Ibarapa East.

The Chairman used the medium to appreciate the good people of Ibarapa East Local Government for giving full support to the present administration led by governor Seyi Makinde.

He also thanked those who were present during the governor’s visit most especially, Temidire, Olorunda, Alonle, Elepo, Sunmibare, Araba, Fuleni, Oloro residents and among others.
