Otunba Benedict Akika, also known as “Benee,” a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and an ally of Governor Seyi Makinde has been kidnapped.
He was reportedly abducted late last night (Wednesday) by gunmen at his Idi-Ape home on the Akobo Ojurin-Olohunda road in Ibadan.
Unconfirmed report has it that One person was alleged to have died during the incident.
As of the time of filing this report, the incidents surrounding the kidnap are still sketchy as relevant authorities said they are on top of the situation.
While confirming the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso stated that, “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
