Oyo Govt Donates 50 Additional Operational Vehicles To Security Agencies

Oyo state government has donated additional fifty operational vehicles to security agencies to further maintain law and order in the state.

Speaking with journalists shortly after presenting the vehicles, the Oyo state acting governor, Chief Bayo lawal explained that 40 were donated to the Anti- Joint Security Taskforce (Operation burst) while others including National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Army, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC); Nigeria Air-force, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC); Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYRTMA); and others shared the remaining operational vehicles.

He said the distribution is in furtherance of Governor Makinde’s policy to protect lives and properties of the citizenry.

The acting governor said another tranche of vehicles would also be distributed to security agencies across the zones in Oyo state as soon as possible to further strengthen the security of the state.

Earlier,the DG Operation Burst, Colonel James Ajibola,lauded Governor Seyi Makinde, for the donation stressing that the security architecture of Oyo state would continue to remain intact.

It would be recalled that Governor Makinde led government since 2019, had distributed about two hundred (200) vehicles to security agencies to strengthen the security architecture of the state.
